Duties
- Evaluate patients' progress and prepare reports that detail progress.
- Evaluate patients sensory profile and analyze medical data to determine realistic goals for patients.
- Conduct occuplaytional therapy sessions in the child's home or school. Focus on sensory integration.
- Consult with clinical team to coordinate occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities.
- Participate in 2 of our community engagement events, annually
- Provide training and supervision in therapy techniques and objectives for COTAs, teachers, parents, and SLPs.
- Design and create, or requisition, special supplies and equipment.
- Plan and implement programs and social activities to help patients carryover skills to school, home, and community.
- Lay out materials such as puzzles, scissors and eating utensils for use in therapy, and clean and repair these tools after therapy sessions.
- Train caregivers and teachers how to accommodate patient's sensory needs during and after therapy.
- Collaborate with clinical and school teams.
- Record patient medical histories.
- Monitor patient progress or responses to treatments.
- Prepare reports summarizing patient diagnostic or care activities.
- Participate in meetings regarding patients' progress, such as in-service meetings and intervention team meetings.
- Provide health and wellness advice to patients, program participants, or caregivers.
Requirements
- Master's in Occupational Therapy
- OTR/L - Registered & Licensed in TN
- Valid TN Driver's License
- Pass a background check
