Bodum is seeking a skilled and experienced plastic technician to join our team in North America and support the efficient operation of our injection molding processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in injection molding machinery, mold maintenance, and plastic materials. The role requires a hands-on approach with a focus on ensuring high-quality manufacturing standards and meeting production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and disassemble molds in injection molding machines.
• Adjust and fine-tune parameters of injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Handle bi-injection processes with rotating plates.
• Conduct regular mold maintenance to ensure long-term functionality and efficiency.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of plastic materials and the preparation of raw materials for production.
• Lead, coordinate, and train shift personnel to meet operational requirements.
• Monitor the progress of manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and timelines are maintained at each stage.
• Provide clear manufacturing instructions to staff to ensure adherence to deadlines and production targets.
• Apply corrective and preventive measures as necessary to resolve any technical issues.
• Conduct mold testing to verify performance and quality.
• Update and optimize parameters for injection molding machines and peripheral equipment.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of injection molding machines.
• Interpret and understand 3D mold and part drawings to ensure precise execution and adjustments.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with injection molding machines and mold maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of injection molding processes, plastic materials, and machine parameters.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Experience with bi-injection and rotative plate technology is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on corrective and preventive actions.
• Ability to train and coordinate a team of shift workers.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting 3D technical drawings of molds and parts.
