Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the management and oversight of facilities operations, with a focus on project management and Federal contract supervision. This position requires recent experience in Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and facilities management, with project management or supervisory role. This role will require experience in managing facilities of similar size and service mix as the FLETC Complex, including adult education resident facilities, maintenance, food services, housekeeping, and human resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in managing projects and overseeing day-to-day operations related to the facilities, ensuring alignment with Federal contract requirements and operational goals.
- Provide support for various facilities management functions, including maintenance, food services, housekeeping, and human resources, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Assist in the management of Federal contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, schedules, and budget requirements.
- Work closely with contractors, vendors, and facility teams to coordinate work, manage schedules, and resolve any issues. Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders.
- Input data into the system and generate various reports and correspondence as required, ensuring that all information is accurately captured and communicated to the relevant parties.
- Support and supervise a team of staff, ensuring that work is performed to the highest standards and that any issues are promptly addressed.
- Ensure that facilities are maintained in compliance with all applicable safety regulations, Federal requirements, and company policies.
- Assist in managing resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and supplies, to ensure project success.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Background and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree with minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in O&M/Facilities management, including five (5) years in a project management or supervisory role.
- Strong background in Federal contract management and supervision of facility operations.
- Experience working with adult education resident facilities, facility maintenance, food services, housekeeping, and human resources is highly desired, particularly in facilities with similar characteristics and service mixes to the FLETC Complex.
- Strong project management and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to input data into systems and generate reports, correspondence, and documentation as required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to take proactive actions to address challenges.
Physical Demands
- Sitting/Standing: This role requires the ability to be on your feet moving around for most of the day interacting with staff, contractors or contractor representatives, and project being performed.
- Walking: Ability to lift and move items as needed for the facility or project operations.
- Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: This role may require occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and ladder climbing to inspect or support all aspects of facilities or projects.
- Using Hands/Fingers: This role constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, and scanners, copiers, and fax machines.
- Talking/Hearing: This role requires constant communication with others in the organization to exchange information, review information, and make decisions about information.
- Seeing: This role requires the ability to see, view, and distinguish all aspects of work to ensure quality control.
- Carrying/Lifting: This role requires the ability to lift up to 30lbs to transport technological office equipment, safety equipment, and other needed project items to and from various workspaces.
