Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the Sales Analyst plays a critical role in analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role works closely with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to provide insights that optimize performance and improve decision-making. The Sales Analyst will be the go-to expert for sales performance analysis and strategy support. They will work at the intersection of sales, marketing, and finance to analyze complex data sets, develop reports, and provide actionable recommendations that directly impact business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Data Analysis
• Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, profit margins, and sales growth.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and campaigns.
Reporting & Forecasting
• Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to track sales performance.
• Develop sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business goals.
• Present findings and recommendations to sales leadership and other stakeholders.
Performance Optimization
• Provide insights to improve sales team productivity and efficiency.
• Identify and address issues such as underperforming products, regions, or channels.
• Support pricing and discount strategies to maximize revenue.
Collaboration
• Work closely with the sales team to understand their challenges and support their goals.
• Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns with sales objectives.
• Partner with finance to ensure alignment on revenue targets and budgets.
Market Research
• Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor performance.
• Provide insights into new markets or products to drive growth opportunities.
Tools & Technologies
• Utilize CRM systems (NetSuite) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity within sales systems.
SKILLS:
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Google Analytics, Excel (advanced), or Power BI.
• Familiarity with marketing platforms like Google Ads, and email marketing tools.
• Basic understanding of SEO, PPC, and digital marketing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in ecommerce analytics, digital marketing analytics, or a related role.
• Experience working with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify)
Qualifications
