ABOUT THE ROLE:
BAA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Print Packaging Designer to spearhead our packaging design initiatives. This role requires a visionary creative professional with a strong background in print production, packaging design, and branding. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee design projects from concept to execution, and ensure that all packaging aligns with brand standards and market trends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize & Design: Develop innovative, high-quality print, packaging and signage design that align with brand identity and consumer trends.
- Project Leadership: Lead packaging design projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to brand and product guidelines.
- Print & Production Management: Oversee the pre-press process, working closely with printers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate color matching, die lines, and material selection.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, operations, and event teams to ensure designs are functional, visually appealing, and cost-effective.
- Trend Research: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and sustainable packaging solutions to enhance design innovation.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all packaging designs align with brand identity and contribute to a cohesive customer experience.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Provide direction and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative team environment.
- Quality Control: Review and approve print proofs, mock-ups, and prototypes to maintain high-quality design standards.
- Other duties as assigned to support the team and company objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Industrial Design, or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of experience in print and packaging design, with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and packaging design software.
- Experience in event or experiential design is preferred
- Strong knowledge of print production processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
- Experience working with CMYK, Pantone, and digital printing methods.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of brand identity, consumer psychology, and retail packaging trends.
- Experience collaborating with international suppliers and manufacturers is a plus.
- Knowledge of sustainable packaging practices is highly desirable.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in consumer packaged goods
- 3D rendering skills (Cinema 4D, Blender, Keyshot, Substance or other relevant software) are a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of event design and the importance of scale, customer experience, product merchandising, etc.
