ABOUT THE ROLE
The videographer will assist with design and production of video content. Videographer will shoot, assist in developments and edit videos to capture important aspects of the business, such as marketing campaigns and product narratives. The videographer integrates video and audio capability to Ecommerce sites and social media. Maintains and operates video equipment, edits select footage and stays up to date with all new technological advances.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with a Creative Director and/or collaborative team to create and edit the film or video product
- Collaborate with departments within the business, as well as with subject matter consultants, to evaluate and plan productions
- Reads, reviews & edits script, decides the best method for producing video using the script
- Determines the type of equipment to use; set-up and tear-down of cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, and props
- Operates equipment, including cameras, editing console, time base correctors, audio board, and video switcher
- Calibrates, cleans and maintains all hardware; recommends equipment purchases, upgrades, or replacements
- Troubleshoots problems with the equipment, making small repairs as needed
- Prepares background film or “B” rolls as well as live feed
- Interviews people and creates a film clip via editing raw footage
- Inserts closed captioning, graphics and/or other on-screen text into a video
- Adds computer graphics, transitional material and special effects to create a professional video product, and records footage for both staged and unscripted scenes
- Oversees inventory and orders supplies
- Performs other related duties as assigned
SKILLS:

- Technical acumen to operate, configure, set-up and fix video, audio, lighting and/or other production equipment
- Proficient in Final Cut Pro and/or Premiere. Experience with After Effects and/or motion, as well as Photoshop, and Illustrator. Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Strong understanding of post-production techniques and best practices. Able to take feedback, edits and direction from team and implement effectively and efficiently.
- Understanding of best practices for video and motion across social media platforms.
- Experience and understanding of Capcut Pro is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- BA in Telecommunication or Video Production; OR
- 2 years of experience necessary to prove ability to perform described duties required
- Present a sample/portfolio of work to prove video production capabilities and proficiency
- Self-motivated and organized
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
- Manual dexterity, physical mobility and some physical strength/stamina
- Ability to arrange sets and lighting to capture professional video
