Job Description
The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care services under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing medical assistance to inmates/residents, including administering medications, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for exams and treatments
- Working closely with nurses and physicians to ensure seamless delivery of patient care services
- Maintaining accurate records and reports, including filing, alphabetizing, and labeling
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in a public or private institution
- Clinical competencies must be current
- Valid Photo ID Driver's License or Passport (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association
- Certified MA License hard copy (required), accepted certifications include:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants (CCBMA)
- Multi-skilled Medical Certification Institute (MMCI)
