Job Details : Phlebotomist Location : Correctional Facility in San Luis Obispo, California Pay Rate $24.00 Per Hour Schedule : 6 to 9 months Full Time Contract Eligible for extension Mon - Fri 07 : 30am - 16 : 00pm Requirements : Phlebotomist Six (6) months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution. Clinical competencies must be current Valid Photo ID Driver’s License or Passport (Required) Valid California Phlebotomy license Hard Copy (Required) Benefits : Phlebotomist Health Insurance Contract Extension Bonus 40hrs paid sick time Payroll - Weekly direct deposit Paid Pre-Employment Testing This is a great opportunity for temp to perm state position with exceptional state benefits should one open up Duties / Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to : Phlebotomist Perform venipuncture and finger sticks using standard equipment to include vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, blood culture, syringes and butterfly needles; Communicate to patient / youth on the procedure to be done; Centrifuge, label and store blood samples for analysis by CCHCS Clinical Laboratory staff and / or external laboratory service providers; Maintain inventory of supplies, stock supplies and hand trays; Follow Institution written standard procedures, or follow standard phlebotomy practices for positive patient / youth identification; Obtain blood specimens from patient / youth under a variety of conditions; Perform test order recording into electronic system per procedure;Handle and properly label bio hazardous specimens; Process non-blood clinical specimens accordingly for testing or send outs; Maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment; BFP Powered by JazzHR
