In the role of Principal Calibration Specialist, you'll handle setting up and fine-tuning an array of instruments, spanning from temperature and pressure gauges to complex lab and safety equipment. Each day brings unique challenges, as you'll tailor your duties to align with group goals and corporate needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preserve and enhance instruments essential to our production timelines and quality standards, encompassing potential additional operational equipment.
- Abide by company practices, SOPs concerning financial, environmental, and safety standards, and more.
- Engage with the Planner/Scheduler and supervisors to relay scheduling details and finalize work orders within set deadlines.
- Diagnose issues with instruments and suggest robust solutions.
- Mentor production and maintenance staff on instrument handling and upkeep.
- Contribute to engineering projects that use instrumentation, involved in all phases from design to execution.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a relevant field with 3 years' experience, or high school diploma with 5 years' practical experience.
- Preferred: Pharma process insights, certifications like ISA CCST or ASQ CCT, military experience (PMEL/TDME), PLC and SCADA know-how, and ISO 17025 familiarity.
- Skilled usage of Excel, Word, Outlook, and database systems. SAP, CMX, and Trackwise are advantageous.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
