**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist to join our Biomarker Discovery group in Ridgefield, CT.
This individual will develop innovative biomarker assays to support our Immunology and Respiratory Department portfolio projects. They will work independently and as part of a team to design, execute, and troubleshoot complex experiments.
The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with cell-based assay development, primary animal/human cell culture systems, and ligand-binding assays. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with Flow cytometry data analysis tools (e.g., FlowJo) and GraphPrism software.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement experimental approaches to contribute to the Biomarker Discovery group goals.
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot routine and innovative TE/PD and disease biomarker assays.
- Analyze experimental data and interpret results to propose follow-up experimental plans.
- Interact with colleagues to move new therapeutic concepts through their lifecycle.
- Present work at internal and external meetings.
- Propose and contribute to the incorporation of new technologies.
- Train junior scientists in laboratory operations.
- Adapt best strategies internally and externally and comply with applicable regulations.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience in a related scientific discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience with immunoassay development, including cell-based and ligand-binding assays.
- Experience using standard laboratory techniques such as mammalian cell tissue culture, peripheral blood cell isolation and culture, DNA/RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, western blot.
- Ability to learn new technology and concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Flow cytometry data analysis tools (e.g., FlowJo) and GraphPrism software.
