The Position
Biostatistics and Data Sciences (BDS) is a global organization with more than 500 employees within the Human Pharma Business Unit. Working in close collaboration with other functions at Boehringer Ingelheim and external vendors we combine methodological and technical data science skills with business and scientific expertise to drive smart, timely and confident decision making at every stage of drug development, approval, and access.

Being part of the global function Therapeutic Area and Methodology Statistics, you work in the Center of Excellence Research & Development Statistics and support drug discovery research and development by providing strategic statistical planning and execution, data transformation as well as all aspects of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics of data.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- In your new role, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of all data analytic aspects in non-clinical studies and projects, including experimental design, data analytics and data transformation as well as reporting. This comprises the implementation, validation and provision of outputs and analytic tools according to company and regulatory standards.
- Moreover, you will apply traditional statistical methods and combine them with cutting-edge data science methods in designing, collecting, and analyzing data from research and development.
- Furthermore, you will apply your data science expertise to generate insights that make a difference for our patients by developing methodologically sound, pragmatic solutions and presenting compelling data stories.
- You will collaborate closely with scientists and experts from various disciplines.
- In addition, you will challenge yourself and enhance your business knowledge as well as your scientific expertise in a global environment.
- You will be an active part of a global biostatistics and data sciences organization that covers all statistical aspects within the complete human pharma product life cycle.
