Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative fall Co-Op to join our Engineering & Technology, Automation Engineering department located at our Fremont, California facility. You will employ your understanding of automation to biopharmaceutical drug substance manufacturing, in collaboration with other necessary technical support functions associated with upstream/downstream manufacturing processes of drug substances, to provide real-time process monitoring, troubleshooting, data integrity verifications and continuous improvement for clinical and commercial scale GMP runs.

Duties & Responsibilities
- BS or MS candidate in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related Engineering discipline (i.e. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Biochemical Engineering)
- Fundamental understanding of bioengineering, hardware and process control systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Must be an Undergraduate Junior or Senior, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
- Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up)
- Major must be related to the field of internship
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
