Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking talented and innovative co-op candidates to join our IT Ops and Labs department, working at our Animal Health campus in Athens, GA. As a member of the IT O&L team, you will be responsible for collecting, evaluating and implementing IT- and data-centric improvement ideas. Co-Op candidates will work with a global team of colleagues to deliver innovative solutions in the areas of AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, APIs, IoT, business intelligence and/or other state-of-the-art technologies in order to support our company’s operations and decision-making processes.

Co-ops before applying ensure you can commit to the following:
- Expect to be on-site for at least 3 days per week and must be located in the local area for the Co-op.
- Potential Start Dates - July 21, August 4, August 18.
- Co-op Students must work full-time and for at least 4 months after the start date. We may extend you up to 6 months in total. These are Full time positions only.
- Collaborate with business partners to collect ideas for application/process improvements.
- Propose IT-centered enhancements, technology use-cases, and/or solutions.
- Work with local IT team to develop a pilot project to implement an improvement project. This project will seek to utilize a state-of-the-art technology, framework, tool or technique, in a way that provides value. Technologies may include:
- AI\Machine Learning\Data Science\LLMs
- IoT
- APIs
- Database\SQL
- RPA
- Execute the pilot project using Agile methodologies and framework.
- Upon execution of the pilot project(s), document the solution design, and transfer the necessary knowledge and lessons learned to local IT team.
- Support business partners with technology-related needs.
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academicstanding
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of theinternship
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)preferred
- Major or minor in related field of internship
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college oruniversity
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college oruniversity
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence or Data Science preferred.
- Experience with cloud-based systems preferred.
- Self-driven, independent and curious with good communication skills.
- Ability to relate technology-related information to non-technical audience.
- Ability to prioritize, and work with colleagues around the world.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
