Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Co-Op to join our Oncology Translational Sciencedepartment located at our Ridgefield facility. As an Co-Op, you will be deeply involved in assisting with the accomplishment of our goal of identifying patient selection biomarker for our cancer immunology portfolio programs.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the effort to develop a workflow for accurate processing of our multiplex immunofluorescence image data.
- Benchmark test modern algorithms to better understand spatial organization and crosstalk of tumor and the microenvironment in response to our mono- and combinatory therapeutic strategies.
- Apply aforementioned items towards our current Biomarker projects to gain more thorough biological insights/understanding on spatial mechanism of tumor progression and response/resistance to therapy.
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
- Major or minor in related field of internship, e.g., Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineer, Molecular Biology, etc.
- Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
- Strong understanding of multi-dimensional ‘Omics’ data and modern approaches of data processing and integration
- Excellent programming skill in scientific languages such as R or Python
- Extensive experience applying ML techniques to large scale datasets
- Problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and ability to think and tackle problems independently
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
