Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Senior Scientist to join the Biotherapeutics Discovery department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. The position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in the discovery and molecular engineering of Biotherapeutics for unmet medical needs. You will be an integral member of the Engineering group where you will contribute to the development of therapeutic molecules and to the foundational strategy of antibody engineering. You will be expected to help drive a culture of excellence through successful project outcomes, advancement of scientific understanding, empowerment of staff and increased connection with the field through an external publication record and collaborative interactions within the industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Contribute to discovery pipeline through identification, evaluation and testing of in-silico methods, especially emerging ML techniques. Customization and application of emerging ML and AI techniques to drive therapeutic discovery, especially as it relates to novel and challenging modalities.
- Be familiar with laboratory techniques needed to enable HT antibody engineering including expression, purification, and basic biophysical characterization. Must possess basic laboratory skills with desire to contribute to experimental outcomes.
- Demonstrate clear understanding of research team goals and work effectively toward achieving them; be able to participate as co-leader or representative on multiple project teams and contribute to defining expertise-related aspects of overall program goals.
