Compensation Data

Description

This role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site.

The primary focus of the Senior Associate Director, Strategy & Operations role is to support the leader of the function in planning and executing key strategic and operational cross functional initiatives. Focus areas for this position may include but are not limited to identifying strategic issues for the function; preparing analyses and delivering insights; developing presentations; interfacing with corporate colleagues and cross functional leaders to drive projects and facilitating strategy; as well as organizing high quality communication and timely follow-up with US and Corporate colleagues.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifies, gathers, and analyzes relevant market and internal information for the business.
  • Translates knowledge of business and industry into new ideas for products or services.
  • Translates the business strategy into a plan of action.
  • Aligns strategy into portfolio of initiatives and develop roadmap for entire business portfolio.
  • Closely collaborates with US and Corporate cross functional stakeholders.
  • Facilitates LT meetings to ensure strategic focus and pull through.
  • Collaborative lead working closely with Leads and other Strategy & Operations roles and HP functions.
  • Develops and / or identifies consistent processes and efficiencies which are applicable and usable across the organizational structure.
  • Project manages and co-leads initiatives that drive organizational growth. This role requires significant influencing of senior leadership and different functions to drive decisions that further business strategy and growth. This aspect is complex, cross functional and more critical than before as we collaborate across US HP and Corporate.
  • Supports management through implementation of communications plan with internal and external partners.
  • Ensures that collaborations & overall business is in accordance with regulation.
  • Takes on the role of the strategic challenger.
  • Identifies strategic opportunities and risks for the function.
  • Challenges the thinking of the Leader and LT where appropriate.

Process management :

  • Ensures documentation of internal projects, external benchmarks to success and on-going business needs.
  • As a member of the Leadership team, plans and facilitates important meetings, gives direction on appropriate topics for meetings, prepares agendas, minutes, pre-read-based briefings for the leader, organizes follow-up and track action plans.
  • Identifies gap areas for process improvement.
  • Develops plan, leads roll-out, and creates metrics to evaluate progress.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MSc).
  • Minimum six (6) years Pharma industry knowledge, e.g., consulting, medical affairs, marketing / sales, product development, business development.
  • Excellent Judgement - regarding the "how", "what", and "when" of addressing Sr. Leaders and key stakeholders with sensitive issues.
  • Proven experience and a strong understanding of what it takes to succeed in project management.
  • Ability to build relationships on mid and senior executive level and become a discussion partner and a trusted advisor on a broad range of management topics.
  • Ability to provide quality control and guidance on projects. Ability to oversee multiple projects running simultaneously.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
