The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Project Management Specialist in Saint Louis, Missouri. The position supports the F/A-18 platform and aligns to Boeing Global Services-Government (BGS-G) Business Unit. The selected candidate will be responsible for the day to day operations and execution of the F/A-18 Automated Maintenance Environment (FAME) suite of applications that is deployed within the United States Navy F/A-18 fleet and 3 International customers. FAME consists of a suite of applications that implements an entire Health Management System (HMS) for F/A-18 and is designed to support O-level maintenance activity by providing enhanced diagnostics, prognostics, and interactive procedural data, as well as data collection for performance analysis and trending.
This position is Hybrid, requiring 3 or more days per week in the office.
The role will support the FAME Program Manager and will be responsible for the day to day operational execution on the FAME Program. The ideal candidate has experience with F/A-18, has project management background, and has familiarity with execution of software development within a Department of Defense environment. The selected candidate will be regularly interfacing with cross-functional teams both within Boeing and the US Navy and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Facilitates program meetings and customer engagements to include establishing agendas and tracking actions across numerous teams and customers
- Facilitates relationships and provides integration support across the various development and engineering teams
- Manages integration of technical publications inputs into the FAME environment
- Assists Program Manager with change management / control, cost, schedule and RIO management activities for the FAME program
- Clearly demonstrates background in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).
- Develop project management artifacts for new F/A-18 Automated Maintenance Environment (FAME) development initiatives
- Domestic travel may be required up to 25%
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
- 1 years of experience in project management, business management, and engineering management.
- 3 years’ experience leading diverse cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1 year or more experience with USMC (United States Marine Corp) or USN (United States Navy) Logistics Systems
- 1 year or more experience supporting F/A-18 programs
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 1 year or more experience managing / leading / developing Information Technology (IT) related projects
- 1 year or more experience in a customer-facing position
- 1 year or more experience working with technical publications
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or
more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g.
Master 4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Salary Range: $87,550 -$118,450
