Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Experienced Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Test Specialist (Level 3) to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina.
The successful candidate will perform Digital X-Ray, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Dye Penetrant and Mag Particle inspections on aircraft components including composite bonded assemblies to ensure compliance to Engineering Specification requirements using CNC, Robotic and manual methods of transducer manipulation, critical data evaluation, in-depth defect analysis utilizing automated and portable NDI equipment, system troubleshooting, record keeping, report writing, and execution of techniques for the reevaluation of repair areas.

Position Responsibilities:
Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment
Develops procedures and processes
Performs tests or inspections and collects data
Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations
Provides feedback on adverse trends
Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
Tooling support/Quality
Surveillance
Document non-conformances
Data mining and charts
Other duties as assigned
Must be capable of working without restrictions
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must be able to work a variable shift
Must be able to travel 10% of the time
Must hold a current NDT Level II certification
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Certification in Radiation Testing RT) X-Ray
Certification in Eddy Current Testing
Certification in Radiographic Testing
More than 1 year of experience handling and working with radioactive materials and x-ray system
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor 1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
