Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Busser to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize the dining experience.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about menu items, specials, and reservations.
- Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.
- Assist servers by clearing tables, resetting them for new guests, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment by regularly cleaning tables, floors, and side stations.
- Serves water as members and guests are seated.
- Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish-washing area.
- Removes soiled linen and replaces with clean linen.
- Sets tables with silverware, glassware and other items.
- Collects trash from dining room, grill and other specified places after each serving period.
- Dusts chairs before and after meals.
- Keeps ice bins and buckets filled.
- Cleans and stores child high chairs and booster seats.
- Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to enhance guest experiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for hospitality and helping others is essential for success in this role. Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in hot, humid and noisy environment.
