Job Title: Sales Associate
Department: Bogner Woodbury
Reports To: Store Manager
Job Summary: The Sales Associate must provide the highest level of customer service to retail customers in selecting and purchasing merchandise. Associate is expected to develop and maintain client relationships to increase sales. Associate must be proficient with our retail software and maintain visual standards of sales floor.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers into the store; engage in friendly conversation; answer any inquiries
- Check store voicemails daily and return calls in a timely manner
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Create and build clientele book by recording purchases and specific information about clients
- Maintain visual standards of store at all times.
- Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, seasonal and yearly basis
- Be present for store Inventory counts two times a year (i.e., May and October dates)
- Be knowledgeable about in-store product.
- Process POS purchases, exchanges, etc.
- Contribute to teamwork by accomplishing related tasks
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Communicate with and assist all types of customers using clear and appropriate vocabulary
- Communicate with Store Managers on store operations and with BOA associates regarding coordination of internal processes.
- Have good social and selling skills
- Have a polite attitude, even in demanding situations
- Professional and grammatically correct emails sent to customers for selling purposes
- Professional image. (Always be neat and clean including your fingernails, face, hair and even your shoes).
Physical Demands: In general, a moderate degree of physical stamina is required to perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to move around the store, including the stock room, and prolonged periods of standing are often necessary. The employee frequently reaches with hands and arms, with some bending and twisting, to retrieve and hang merchandise, as well as to vacuum and mop. Stress may result from work demands, including busy holiday seasons and interaction with difficult customers.
