Bogner, known worldwide for exclusive and luxurious designer sports fashion, is seeking a Store Manager with luxury retail sales experience to join the Bogner of America team at our Woodbury Commons location. This is a full-time position with benefits.
The Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Bogner Sunset store. These tasks include sales management, floor planning and BOH operations. They are expected to be actively visible in the community to promote the Bogner name and products.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise a staff of approximately 5-8 people (sales staff and one ASM)
- Contribute to company growth through inventory management and achievement of appropriate gross margin
- Maximize on-hand inventory and communicate inventory needs
- Ensure operational integrity and asset protection compliance in day-to-day operations and practices
- Produce daily and weekly management reports
- Reorder new merchandise as necessary
- Process new products when received in the store
- Interview and select new staff members
- Schedule staff hours, and approve hours for payroll
- Train, motivate and manage sales team
- Monitor sales floor and zone coverage to drive sales and maintain customer focus
- Build repeat business by ensuring all client program tools and strategies around data capture, outreach, and follow-up are consistently executed
- Ensure sales team receives customer service and product training to strengthen selling skills
- Model and ensure dress code compliance
- Arrange and maintain displays and windows per Visual team’s standards
- Balance cash drawer and make bank deposits
- Compile sales data and analyze sales trends
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
College degree and 2-4 years of related luxury retail experience, 1-3 in a managerial capacity.
Must be able to work weekends, closing shifts and some holidays.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work a cash register POS and computer
- Excellent administrative, organizational and supervisory skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively lead current staff and train new staff
- Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with an upscale and sometimes demanding clientele
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- With training provided by Bogner, solid knowledge of Bogner products and the Bogner organization
Physical and Mental Demands:
In general, a moderate degree of physical stamina is required to perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to move around the store, and prolonged periods of standing are often necessary. Required to move boxes, clothing racks and fixtures weighing up to 65 lbs. with assistance. The employee frequently reaches with hands and arms, with some bending and twisting, and to retrieve and hang merchandise. Stress may result from work demands, including busy holiday seasons and interaction with difficult customers.
The pay scale for this position is $85,000-$95,000/year.
