Description
The Winter Food & Beverage Supervisor position is responsible for assisting with the daily execution of efficient and quality food service while creating a pleasant guest experience during the winter operational season.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Strive to create and maintain a team player environment, encouraging pride and integrity with all employees.
- Responsible for constantly motivating all employees in a positive manner to strive to attain Bogus Basin's goals and objectives.
- Assist in training Food & Beverage staff.
- Maintain a professional attitude towards guests and staff.
- Oversee the lodge during times of absence of management.
- Handle customer complaints while on duty.
- Responsible for assisting with all tasks assigned to subordinates.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all food service facilities within operation area.
- Promote safety by following safe practices and reporting any unsafe conditions or situations while on premise.
Non-Essential Functions of the Job
- Will assist in weekly inventories and purchase orders when necessary.
- Assist guests with any questions or problems that they may have, if unable to provide assistance seeks help of supervisor and/or manager.
- Perform other related tasks, as necessary.
Requirements
- Passionate about the Bogus Basin Mission.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry or related field.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Understanding of all local, state, and federal alcohol laws.
- Understanding of local and federal health and safety standards.
- Understanding of child labor laws.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a stressful or chaotic environment.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach and/or balance with arms & hands for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity required to handle cash transactions and operate the POS system as well as prepare food and beverage items.
- Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Must have or be able to obtain alcohol server training certificate within two weeks of hire date. (Bogus will provide resources to obtain certificate.)
- Ability to work mid-October through mid-May.
Working Conditions
- Restaurant environment; both indoors and outdoors.
- May be exposed to inclement weather.
