We are seeking a highly accurate, detail-oriented, and compliance-focused Certified Payroll & Prevailing Wage Specialist to oversee prevailing wage payroll processing and ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations Bogush Corporation we never settle for the status quo. Job Responsibilities : Payroll & Compliance Core Duties) Process weekly / monthly payroll for prevailing wage projects through Prepare and submit certified payroll reports to state and federal agencies Ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon Act, state prevailing wage laws, and government contract requirements Track wage determinations and ensure proper fringe benefits calculations Maintain payroll records and respond to audits or compliance requests Verify subcontractor compliance with prevailing wage reporting Accounting & Financial Support Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable related to prevailing wage projects Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure proper job cost allocation Track payroll taxes, deductions, and employer contributions for prevailing wage projects Generate reports on payroll expenses, labor costs, and job profitability Work with the Assistant Controller to ensure payroll expenses align with budgets HR & Benefits Administration Process wage garnishments, child support payments, and tax levies Ensure accurate employee classification for payroll processing Assist with employee onboarding & training related to payroll and compliance Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies General Business Support Work closely with Service Division Managers to track labor costs and job budgets Maintain accurate employee classifications for workers' compensation & unemployment insurance Assist with audits and reporting related to payroll, prevailing wages, and state / federal compliance Ensure the company meets recordkeeping requirements for government contracts Qualifications & Requirements : Experience in Payroll reporting in the plumbing, HVAC, sewer, water main, or construction service industry Strong knowledge of certified payroll reporting systems Davis-Bacon Act and state-specific prevailing wage regulations Proficiency in or similar payroll processing software. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to meet strict reporting deadlines Experience in accounting functions related to payroll, labor cost allocation, and compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel Preferred Qualifications : Experience working with government-funded projects, municipal contracts, and school construction projects Familiarity with LCPtracker, eMars, or other electronic certified payroll reporting systems Knowledge of union payroll requirements if applicable).
