Director of Procurement Operations
Bohan & Bradstreet is seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our team as a Director of Procurement Operations.
This role will involve leading our purchasing team and partnering closely with various departments to source packaging and commodity materials from global vendors.
You'll be responsible for:
- Establishing and executing procurement and sourcing strategies, goals, and initiatives.
- Leading contract negotiations to ensure the best possible quality, value, and service from vendors.
- Monitoring material minimum order quantities, lead times, shelf life, and inventory levels.
- Improving procurement processes through identified initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with Federal requirements, such as FDA regulations.
- Facilitating site visits/audits of existing and potential new vendors.
Responsibilities
In addition to the above, you'll also be responsible for providing inventory guidance in monthly forecasting and being actively involved with inbound logistics.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of business experience, with 3 years leading direct and indirect procurement from domestic and international markets.
- Purchasing experience in an FDA-compliant setting, such as food and beverage, nutritional, personal care, or OTC pharmaceuticals.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
