The Global Purchasing Director is responsible for leading the procurement function across all product lines. This role requires a seasoned procurement professional with expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to achieve cost savings and quality improvements
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with Federal requirements (e.g., FDA) and industry regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Analyze data to inform procurement decisions and drive business growth
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A BS/BA degree and 8 years of business experience, with at least 3 years leading direct and indirect procurement from domestic and international markets
- Purchasing experience in an FDA-compliant setting (e.g., food & beverage, nutritional, personal care, or OTC pharmaceutical)
- Ability to travel up to 15% for domestic and global meetings
Compensation Package
You can expect a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 DOE, plus bonus, superior benefits, relocation assistance, and upside opportunities.
