Leasing Professional

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Leasing Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing process, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires strong conflict management skills and a thorough understanding of property management software such as OneSite. The Leasing Professional will play a key role in maintaining positive relationships with residents and prospective tenants while supporting the overall operations of the property.

Duties

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
• Manage the leasing process from application to move-in, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to current residents and potential tenants, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
• Assist with property maintenance requests and coordinate with maintenance staff as needed.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Knock) for tracking applications, leases, and tenant communications.
• Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants while upholding company policies.
• Handle conflict management effectively to resolve disputes between residents or between residents and management.
• Stay informed about local laws related to leasing, including Section 8 regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in customer service or property management is preferred.
• Familiarity with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and applicable laws related to leasing.
• Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail in documentation processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.
