What are the responsibilities and job description for the BARTENDER position at Bohemian Club?
The Bartender is responsible for providing outstanding beverage service to our membership. Bartenders are expected to be team oriented, have a positive attitude, and work with a sense of urgency when handling beverage service for our membership. Applicants will receive general training and should have a good knowledge of wine, spirits, & beer. This is a non-tipped position.
DUTIES
- Daily Set-up and opening of the main bar including preparing fresh garnishes
- Prepare/Mix drinks for the members and their guests
- Operate the POS system
- Assist with table service
- Determine when a member or guest is on the verge of being over served and alert management
- Conduct daily inventories of bar supplies, liquor, wine, and beer.
- Order accordingly to resupply the bar
- Organize and Set-up of satellite bars
- Assign specific tasks to the other bartenders
- Maintain the general cleanliness and organization of the bar
- Address maintenance issues with management
- Shut down of the bar including clean-up of all equipment and utensils
- Other tasks as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bartenders must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have or must obtain an RBS certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bartending experience required and general knowledge in wine, beer, and spirits
- Ability to read, understand and speak English
- Serve members in a friendly and professional manner
- Be well-groomed and in the proper uniform on a daily basis
- Must be able to bend and lift 50 lbs. and remain on one's feet for up to 8 hours (with breaks)
