What are the responsibilities and job description for the FRONT DESK/REGISTRATION AGENT position at Bohemian Club?
The Bohemian Grove is situated on 2,700 acres of towering redwood forest in the lower Russian River Valley in Sonoma County. For more than 150 years Club members and their guests have ventured to the Grove to enjoy and partake in the arts, music, literature and drama as well as nature walks and fine dining.

2025 Bohemian Grove Events dates:
- Spring Jinks - Monday, June 9th - Sunday, June 15th
- Spring Picnic - June 28
- Encampment - Monday, July 7th - Friday, August 1st
The Registration Office is the first place where all the members and guests come to register for the Grove events. Registration is open 24/7 during the Grove Events for Members and guests. Members and guests must check-in and check-out of the Grove throughout the event. The general role of a Registration employee is to cordially greet all those attending the Grove events, to retrieve the appropriate time-card, and to check-in or check-out the member/guest.
DUTIES The registration staff person is expected to do the following:
- Greet members and guests at the registration counter with a cordial smile.
- Ask the member/guest name, ensure they are registered in the computer system and check them in.
- Provide a Security Card to each member and guest, and direct them into the Grove.
- An current count of the number of members/guests in the Grove is calculated by the system. The General Manager and various departments rely on this information at any given time.
- The registration staff is also expected to answer a variety of questions regarding the Grove event.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Great team player, must enjoy working with people
- Friendly, dependable and helpful
- Ability to work well whether a frenetic or slow pace
- Able to retrieve and file time cards in strict alphabetical order
- Able to use a 10-key calculator for basic calculations
- Prior experience using strong customer service skills
- Willing to perform varying tasks as necessary, such as sweeping the office, tidying the registration area, or assisting members
- Able to treat all with a respectful and professional demeanor, while ensuring their privacy and confidentiality
- At least 18 years old or older.

- An uninterrupted 30-minute unpaid meal break when working more than five (5 ) hours in a day.
- An additional 30-minute unpaid meal break when working more than 12 hours in a day.
- A paid 10-minute rest period for every four hours worked.

Employment at the Bohemian Club requires a successful completion of a criminal background check before one is able to work and gain access at the Bohemian Grove for Grove events.
OTHER
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Bohemian Club rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Club’s facilities. Employees who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
