Boia De, a Michelin starred, modern Italian restaurant, is looking for its next General Manager.
Moving towards its 6th year of operation, we are looking for an experienced restaurant manager who can continue the growth and success of Boia De with us.
Job Summary:
The general manager is responsible for leading all FOH team members, including AGM, in running an efficient and profitable business, managing day-to-day operations, maintaining high service quality standards and guest satisfaction levels, and fostering a positive work environment inline with our strong sense of culture.
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Hospitality:
-Promoting the core values and culture of Boia De, including but not limited to, excellence in food, beverage, service and hospitality.
-Leading dinner service with a hands on approach, from seating guests to performing wine service and running food, in a manner that is representative of Boia De’s unique style and care. We lead by example, not titles.
-Develop strong and positive relationships with guests and team members.
-Comfortability in addressing guest and staff complaints.
-Dealing with service issues that arise with solutions that are aligned with our culture and etiquette.
Operations:
-Overseeing daily restaurant administration including payroll, opening/closing, staff training, etc
-Creating systems of accountability and providing consistent feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action when needed
-Promoting and practicing safe work habits, identifying and resolving potential safety hazards; documenting accidents or incidents
-Maintaining the integrity and functionality of all restaurant equipment and responding to any and all failures accordingly.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 3 years in managing high end, busy, service driven restaurants
-Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
-Experience hiring, training and mentoring a diverse foh team
-Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt to change
-Posses a positive, results-oriented, team-player mentality
-Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and local Department of Health standards, including a Food Manager Certification
-Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers and guests
