What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leadman - Treating Plant position at Boise Cascade- Wood Products?
Responsibilities -
- Receiving: Unload trucks, verify shipments, document bills of lading for accuracy.
- Shipping: Load trucks for shipment, stage orders in yard for shipment. Create Bill of Lading.
- Quality Control: Inspect product prior to loading. Address and correct any quality issues.
- FIFO: Managing yard inventory by utilizing First in First Out.
- Forklift: Maintain and operate safely in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
Skills -
- Forklift: Must be able to operate a forklift in outdoor setting.
- Organizational:
- Properly stage multiple orders for inbound trucks
- Ability to prioritize orders and product movement
- Manage product to and from treating pad.
- Math: Understand various lengths and sizes of wood. Must be able to figure load sizes for outbound trucks.
- Interpersonal: Communicate with truck drivers and other employees.
- Maintenance:
- Recognize and correct quality issues.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to provide repairs to forklift, pumps, and motors.
