Responsibilities and Required Skills
This entry-level journeyman position requires a thorough understanding and working knowledge of various electrical devices, including:
- Multi-meters, wiggies, meggers, amprobes, temperature meter, and servo driver
- Installation and bending of conduit up to three inches using bending and threading equipment
- Safe operation of hand tools and shop equipment such as drills, band saws, reciprocating saw, crimpers, cutting torch, and welding machine
Candidates must also possess knowledge of shop math, blueprint reading, relay logic systems, circuit breakers, starters, overload relays, limit, pressure, temperature, and flow switches, push buttons, switches, resolvers, encoders, pulsers, and other electrical devices. Proficiency in Allen-Bradley programmable logic controllers (PLC), ladder logic programs, and AC drives is required.
