Boise Centre, Idaho’s premier event venue, is hiring an Event Coordinator to help bring unforgettable experiences to life. This role is an integral part of the Events Team, ensuring the seamless execution of internal and client events. The Event Coordinator is responsible for managing new event inquiries, coordinating internal meetings and activities on The Grove Plaza, and supporting the Senior Event Manager in event logistics, execution, and post-event assessment.

Compensation: $20.20 - $28.78 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with event logistics, including menu selection, facility tours, production elements, and pre/post-event meetings
- Identify client needs and develop detailed Banquet Event Orders
- Create event floorplans, diagrams, and setup instructions for internal teams
- Manage internal events such as staff trainings, meetings, and company functions
- Oversee Grove Plaza activities and facilitate new event inquiries
- Maintain organized event files, track event data, and compile invoices
- Communicate facility policies and regulations to clients and event staff
- Support the Event Management team with event execution and assessment
- Monitor event signage and ensure up-to-date external communication
- Attend event-related meetings and collaborate across departments for seamless operations
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate:
- 2 years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, or a related field (preferred)
- Associates in hospitality, preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to learn new software
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting, typing, and verbal communication
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs or ladders.
- May require occasional travel for industry events or training
