WHO WE ARE
Since 1973, the Boise Co-op has grown from a tiny food-buying club into a vibrant, community-owned grocery store with over 50,000 active Co-Owners. With two locations (North End and The Village at Meridian) and three sub-brands (Wine Shop, Pet Shop, and Uncorked Wine Bar), we’re more than just a store—we’re a local hub where people come together over good food and great company.
We’re big on community, education, and supporting local partners. We care a lot—about our people, our planet, and the products we share. Independent, neighborly, and full of heart: that’s the Boise Co-op.
WE’RE HIRING: FRONT END ASSISTANT MANAGER
We’re looking for someone who’s got leadership chops, loves a good checklist, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment. If you’re into training teams, keeping things running smoothly, and making sure every customer walks out with a smile (and maybe a membership), this one’s for you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Be a go-to leader on the Front End—set the vibe and keep things moving.
- Help with hiring, training, and coaching a top-notch crew.
- Support the Front End Manager with scheduling, goal tracking, and daily operations.
- Make sure things look sharp—inside, outside, and in the restrooms too.
- Handle the unexpected with grace and a calm head.
- Step into the manager role when needed.
- Help hit goals for labor, round-ups, and memberships (we’re all about teamwork).
- Pitch in wherever needed—this is a hands-on role!
WHAT YOU BRING
- 4 years of retail experience, including leadership and cashiering.
- Friendly, clear communicator with a knack for problem-solving.
- Comfortable with a flexible schedule—weekends and holidays included.
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to roll when your shift starts.
- Able to pass a background check and lift up to 50 lbs.
THE ENVIRONMENT
You'll be on your feet, in the action, working in a busy store that’s full of customers, carts, coworkers—and the occasional happy pup heading to our Pet Shop. It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s never boring.
