ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Licensed Electricians/Technicians will be directly responsible for their actions and installations as well as those of an assigned apprentice when applicable. All work is to be completed in compliance with the most recent editions of the NFPA NEC70 &72 and any amendments. We expect our electricians to arrive at the shop or job site prepared to work.
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace.
- Strong Communication Skills
- Must be comfortable using tablets and software applications that reside on the devices
- As required, track time and materials through the use of tablet applications
- Report accurately any materials needed to complete a project.
- Ability to make decisions to complete projects as changes arise.
- The employee must provide their hand tools.
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, etc.
- Able to lift greater than 50lbs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Three years of industry experience, with references
- Massachusetts Class D, Systems Technician License or Higher
- Experienced with the installation of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
- Experience with Test & Inspection of Fire and Security Systems
- Working knowledge of IP Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion Systems
- Proficient with network cabling, termination, testing, and BICSI standards
- Basic understanding of Audio/Video Cabling and installation
- Ability to pass a CORI in order to receive an “S” License.
- Valid Driver’s License in MA and NH
- Willing and capable of learning new systems and adapting to new technologies in a ever-changing industry
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proficient with DSC Power Series Pro
- Proficient with Mircom, Fire-Lite Conventional, and Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels
- NICET Certifications I or II
- Basic Networking Proficiency, LAN setup
- Familiarity with Video management systems (VMS) Axis Companion & Camera Station
- BICSI Certifications, Copper II, Fiber I &II
- Industry manufacturer certifications, Leviton, Panduit, Ortronics, etc.
