What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support Technician position at Bojangles – Tands, Inc.?
The IT Support Technician is responsible for the support of Point of Sale products via phone and email. S/he follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data and uses technical troubleshooting skills to define and isolate technical issues.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- On the job training of industry specific applications and systems
- Providing support and technical issue resolution to the company’s restaurants and corporate office
- Configuration of Point of Sale, PC's, servers, printers, and other computer hardware and software
- Performing light lifting of up to 25 lbs. Equipment installation includes cabling and mounting equipment from walls and ceiling
The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and answer support related inquiries promptly
- Experience supporting hardware and software issues
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
- Excellent customer service attitude and the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner
Education and/or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver’s license
