Boka Restaurant Group and the Chicago Athletic Association are currently seeking In-Room Dining Line Cooks to join their team!
The In-Room Dining Line Cook position requires good communication and culinary skills. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least two years of previous or relevant cooking experience. Candidates should be able to work all stations on a hot line including saute, grill, deep fry, and garde manger. The IRD line cook will work in the In-Room Dining station processing room service orders and preparing/cooking meals, as needed.

In-Room Dining Line Cook's Responsibilities:

Assist in food preparation adhering to chef’s specs.
- Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times.
- Ensure safe food handling procedures are used at all times.
- Report to Banquet chef and Banquet sous chefs.
- Accurately read IRD tickets to complete orders, and communicate with FOH with any questions.
- Accurately make and complete prep lists for the IRD line.
- Assist with banquet event prep during slower periods of IRD service.
- Demonstrates cleanliness, abides by company’s uniform and grooming policies.
- Be self-motivated and stay focused throughout shift.
- Able to work hotline and manage tickets that come in with efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Hardworking
- High volume kitchen experience
- Food handlers' certification
- Flexible schedule

Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces
- Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environment
