Boka Restaurant Group and the Chicago Athletic Association are currently seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to join their team!
The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Stewarding Manager in overseeing and supervising the stewarding team. The supervisor assists in maintaining cleanliness in all dish areas as well as certain areas of the kitchen outlets. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and at least two years of previous or relevant experience.

Stewarding Supervisor's Responsibilities:

Assist stewarding manager and chef team in overseeing stewards, and hotel stewarding department.
- Ensure dish machines are being operated, maintained, and cleaned properly.
- Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, and email.
- Assisting stewarding manager in taking accurate china/glassware/silverware/and kitchen equipment inventories.
- Ensure garbage and recycling are being processed correctly in all outlets, and that the main garbage and recycling hotel bins are also being maintained.
- Perform cleaning tasks in dish and kitchen areas as needed.
- Reports to Stewarding manager and chefs.
- Ensure kitchens are supplied with necessary cleaning supplies/chemicals according to pars.
- Communicate with Ecolab as needed.
- Ensure proper organization of cleaning supplies, chemicals, china, glassware, silverware, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Hardworking
- High volume kitchen experience
- Food handlers' certification
- Flexible schedule

Physical Requirements:
- Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces
- Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environment
