Safety Director: To lead Boland in developing and building upon our Safety Culture through knowledge, education, and communication. The Safety Director is responsible for leading the health, safety, and environmental programs of the organization to effectively prevent work related safety incidents. The Safety Director will design, monitor, and manage safety program. The Safety Director will be the lead safety point of contact for incidents involving employees, vehicles and Boland spaces.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with necessary parties to develop and implement safety policies and procedures and to educate our workforce on proper safety practices
- Collaborate to ensure compliance with client contractual obligations and commitments with regard to safety
- Ensure Safety Data Sheets are readily accessible and up to date
- Risk Assessment, advise and educate about safety best practices
- Collaborate with insurance partners to review data and discuss recommendations and best practices
- Manage safety training program; develop and deploy curriculum by role
- Job site /inspections visits; educate, report, respond, follow up (at least 4 / week)
- Accident investigations and corrective actions
- Lead Safety Committee to oversee our program; meeting agendas, follow up, review metrics, policy, etc
- Ensure proper reporting and recordkeeping are completed and communicated in compliance with OSHA and other requirements, report on and communicate safety metrics
- Develop and deploy Safety Policy annually
- Team with sales / operations to comply with contractual requirements
- Continual education to maintain current knowledge of compliance requirements
- Participate with MCA Safety committee
- Regular educational communication internally re: safety content (monthly newsletter; weekly in Daily News; team meetings; safety committee)
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Occupational Safety, Fire & Safety, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- OSHA Accreditation
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record required
- Experience in Safety Director role in HVAC, mechanical contracting, or construction
- Accident investigation and reporting, accident prevention training
- Corporate policy research and development
- OSHA compliance experience
- Teaching / leading safety curriculum
- Job site inspection, education and follow up
- Experience with commercial DOT vehicle driver training requirements a plus
Skills Requirements:

- MS Suite and web applications
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Must travel to job sites and inspect for site safety to include: safely driving in busy traffic; climbing ladders and stairs; lifting as needed; standing majority of day; oral presentation ability and listening ability.

Salary : $90,000 - $125,000
