Responsibilities
- Prospect, sell, plan, and schedule catered events.
- Maintain high daily selling activity (visits, calls, appointments) to meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Develop a client base and generate repeat business through strategic relationships and referrals.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and understanding of catering operations.
- Possess exceptional people skills and effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.
- Exercise initiative, independent judgment, diplomacy, flexibility, and discretion.
- Connect with clients, understand their needs, and build mutually productive relationships.
- Have a clear understanding of Bold Catering & Design's (BCD) identity, concept, and event value.
- Respond to self-generated leads promptly and schedule appointments and meetings.
- Conduct site tours and inspections, provide innovative proposals based on client needs.
- Develop cost-effective, profitable menus and write pricing contracts.
- Close sales in line with BCD's expectations and secure deposits and payments.
- Meet and exceed sales objectives, report on production and sales forecasting.
- Participate in promotional events and network through professional organizations.
- Coordinate with Event Coordinator for additional services and communicate with other departments.
- Knowledge of FOH and BOH event industry operational procedures.
- Competent in all aspects of the sales process from prospecting to post-event follow-up.
- Cultivate strategic relationships and meet sales and production targets efficiently.
Knowledge, skills, & abilities
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening).
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality or related industry.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Self-sufficient in administrative tasks.
- Basic understanding of FOH & BOH event industry operations.
- Knowledge and experience in space planning for various venues and room configurations.
- Up-to-date knowledge of design and events industry trends.
