Primary Position Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to create functional packaging, including signing off on engineering documents and creating die lines
- Provide subject matter expertise to translate design ideas to physical packaging
- Support Mission through design and partnering decisions
- Lead sourcing efforts to ensure we are working with the best suppliers at the best cost
- Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers to expedite and improve evaluations for new products, color matching etc.
- Identify cost drivers of packaging decisions
- Leverage total cost of ownership approach in packaging decisions
- Oversee buying requirements to support production
- Manage packaging inventory
- Onsite visits for first production run quality assurance
- Work with packaging suppliers to conduct RFQs, COGs Analysis, & Component orders
- Support new product launches with packaging design, sourcing, and costing
- Coordinate packaging tech transfers
- Collaborate cross functionally with Mission, Regulatory, Planning, Finance, Logistics and Customer Service
- Track tooling status, costs, and LOI’s
- Seek opportunities to reduce waste, streamline operations and lower cost
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to push forward with fast moving team in a high growth environment
