Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to join our team! Must be a positive and proactive employee with a solution focused attitude who works well as a team, seeks to build others up, helps colleagues without leadership prompting, and is open to learning from leadership and colleagues. The right candidate will be dependable and work your scheduled hours each week. This role involves working with individuals and families, conducting assessments, individual and group therapy, and implementing therapeutic interventions to promote mental health and well-being. The Clinician will play a crucial role in crisis intervention, group therapy, and individual counseling sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan meetings.
  • Shares pertinent information with the team as obtained from the clients family, or others as indicated throughout the program.
  • Attends daily and weekly staffing meetings per schedule.
  • Evaluates the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu.
  • Facilitates group therapy.
  • Performs individual therapy with client/family.
  • Documents the assessment of client progress/regress and interventions provided in the medical record, in a timely and ongoing basis.
  • Completes all documentation in a timely manner to meet expectations of Insurance Carriers, and State Regulations.
  • Recognizes, responds to and assists in psychiatric crisis situations and provides the intervention necessary.
  • Responds and assists in medical emergency situations as directed and needed.
  • Communicates effectively with clients and all staff.
  • Provides clients with education and instruction on Advance Directives.
  • Attends and participates in monthly Program Staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Attends clinical supervision weekly with Clinical Director or Executive Director.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
  • Engages in continuing education to keep licensure and skills updated.
  • Takes direction well from leadership regarding job duties, functions, policies, procedures, and clinical and professional methodology.
  • Protect the privacy of all client information in accordance with privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with the company’s policies and procedures on client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
  • May access protected health information (PHI) and other patent information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need-to-know specific client information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other operations.
  • Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding policies and procedures on client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.

Knowledge & Training:

  • Knowledge of addictions and mental health complications.
  • Knowledge and competency in problem solving stress management, ethics and team building.
  • Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes:
  • Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual.
  • Alcohol and addictive drugs and their impact on the family.
  • Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose.
  • Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals and ability to take appropriate action at each stage.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including:
  • Confidentiality
  • Patient Rights
  • Professional Code of Ethics
  • Discrimination
  • Knowledge of airborne and blood borne pathogens (TB, HIV, AIDS, HB) and risk reduction methodologies and the use of universal precautions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Preferred graduate from an accredited college or university with a minimum of bachelor’s degree in psychology, social Work, counseling, or health-related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in chemical dependency and/or mental health setting preferred. Willing to train the right candidate if less than 2 years or newly graduated from an approved bachelor’s or master’s program.
  • Licensure/certification: Master’s degree (preferred) or bachelor’s from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Substance Use or health-related field. LCMHC, MLADC, LADC, LICSW, LMFT certification/licensure desired but not required. Clinical Director & Executive Director can provide supervision for candidate towards licensure as an MLADC, LADC, LICSW, LCMHC.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
