Provides high-quality nursing care for assigned patients, focusing on holistic wellness and safety. Newly Licensed Registered Nurses (NLRNs) are in their first year of practice, transitioning to Staff Registered Nurse after one year. NLRNs cannot cover breaks or be charge nurses until orientation is complete.
Education, License & Cert
Must be a graduate of a nursing program and pass the state board examination. Enrollment in a BSN program is required for certain graduates.
Experience
NLRNs enter through the Residency Program and cannot be hired directly into open positions.

Proficiency in IT, teamwork, critical judgment, interpersonal skills, and managing multiple responsibilities.
