Job Summary
The Reconstruction Project Manager will play a key role in overseeing and managing residential and commercial reconstruction projects from start to finish. This role involves preparing budgets from insurance repair estimates, communicating/negotiating with customers on any changes they want to complete on their property, preparing bids, and coordinating with clients, vendors and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role also will documenting the whole processes along the way. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, is highly organized, and has a deep understanding of construction processes and how it intertwines with insurance. The ideal candidate would also have his/her own network of subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Manage multiple reconstruction projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and assign tasks to team members.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise and coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure projects are on track and in timely manner.
- Handle change orders and project adjustments as needed.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare detailed project scope reports, including budgeting, progress updates.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including contracts, permits, and inspections.
- Maintain organized project files, ensuring all relevant documentation is easily accessible.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management -required to be from restoration company.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods is required.
- Strong of how to interpret Xactimate and Symbility repair bills.
- Experience submitting contractors/vendors bills for payment- Required.
- Must have a valid Indiana driver licenses without SR-22 requirement. Cannot have any prior alcohol related charges on record.
- Background check is required and strictly enforced, any applicant that cannot pass the background check should not apply. All employees have to pass our vendors requirements for badges.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Emailing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software (preferred not required).
Certifications (preferred but not required):
- PMP (Project Management Professional) (preferred but not required)
- IICRC certification (for restoration projects preferred but not required)
- OSHA safety training (preferred but not required)
