We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Duties
Areas of competency necessary includes but not limited to:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of account balances.
- Payroll Production (in-house weekly payroll and associated tax submittals.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
- Utilize accounting software to record transactions and generate reports.
- Conduct technical accounting tasks as needed to support financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of budgeting and financial concepts.
- Experience with bank reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Excellent 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Five years or more experience a plus.
