What you get to do (Essential Functions) :

  • Prepare and / or review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial reporting statements.
  • Provide information for various industry surveys.
  • Direct and participate in preparation of operating company cost and forecasting analysis.
  • Manage P&L as well as the annual budgeting process in conjunction with President
  • Manage cash balances and cash forecasting
  • Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and implement procedures and controls to ensure compliance.
  • Hire, train, and supervise accounting staff.
  • Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources.
  • Manage the monthly project financial management review process for the portfolio that we manage and own.
  • Understand and communicate to investors regarding material financial activity on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for the portfolio(s).
  • Work with operation’s project controls and asset management to compile financial results, forecast and prepare for annual audit
  • Support and offer guidance to investment team regarding major capital events
  • Maintain open and closed job schedules.
  • Respond to requests for financial information to support RFP’s, bids, and other job pursuits.
  • Assist with bank and surety relationship and submit financial reporting.

What we expect from you :

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; preferred in finance; M.B.A. or other advanced degree in finance, economics, statistics, or similar fields a plus.
  • Ten years of relevant work experience performing similar functions required.
  • Five plus years managing high performing teams is required.
  • CPA a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and / or other business analytic tools.
  • Background within real estate and / or construction industries preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Capability to balance multiple priorities with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication, management, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to get along with people in all areas of the company.
  • Ability to identify and improve systems and procedures while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong values and character that align with our core values.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of Boldt Holdings or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $138,200- $210,000 per year. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to : candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work at our Milwaukee, WI office. If the incumbent works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to effectively communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.

    The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
