The successful candidate will play a critical role in our printing operations, assisting in the setup, operation, and maintenance of printing presses to ensure the highest quality output is achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Press Operator: Work alongside the press operator in the setup, operation, and maintenance of printing presses, ensuring machines are running efficiently.
- Feed Paper/Materials: Load and feed paper or other materials into the press, ensuring they are aligned and secured properly for optimal printing results.
- Monitor Print Quality: Continuously monitor the quality of printed materials, making adjustments as needed to maintain high standards of output.
- Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on printing equipment, ensuring it remains in good working condition.
- Check Supplies: Keep track of ink and paper supplies, notifying the press operator when inventory is low or if any additional materials are needed.
- Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Clean Work Area: Keep the press and surrounding areas clean and organized, adhering to cleanliness standards set by the company.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines, fostering a positive team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in printing technology is a plus.
- Previous experience in a printing environment preferred, specifically as a press feeder or in a related role.
- Familiarity with different printing technologies, machinery, and materials.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
