What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pig Tracking Technician position at Bolin Enterprises, Inc.?
Job Brief
Bolin Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a full-time Pig Tracking Technician. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to travel and enjoy working outdoors throughout the year. The position's job duties are the same from site to site but is always within a fast-paced environment. We provide annual trainings, such as the OSHA 10 hour, in addition to hands on training at the job sites. Transportation and lodging are provided while on the road, in addition to a per diem to cover meals.
Bolin’s professional “pig trackers” can actively or passively track pigs using state of the art listening devices and transmitters and communicate a “real-time” calculated location of the pig(s) to your operations personnel using our Pig Tracking Program. When performing Smart Pig Operations, the accurate placement of AGMs (Above Ground Markers) along the pipeline system is crucial. Our associates will accurately place the AGMs and provide electronic documentation of their locations with sub-decimeter GPS accuracy.
Primary Job Functions
The Pig Tracking Division is also utilized in other departments when scheduling allows. While there is not a specific set of functions that are required, candidates that offer multiple skills sets are easier to be utilized in this capacity. As an example, a candidate with a Class A CDL would be helpful.
