Founded in 1933, Bolles is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school with a rich history of excellence and tradition. The Upper School campus, beautifully located on the banks of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida, is part of a larger community that includes four campuses. Position Purpose: The Campus Store Specialist is a long-term substitute position responsible for assisting in the daily operations of The Bolles School’s Campus Store and printing departments. This role supports the needs of students, parents, faculty, staff, and other community members across all four campuses (Whitehurst, Ponte Vedra Beach, Bartram, and San Jose). This temporary position will run from approximately March through December 2025 to ensure seamless operations during this period.
Essential Functions:
- Customer Service: Assist parents, students, and faculty/staff with Campus Store sales and inquiries during standard operating hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday–Friday), with flexibility for occasional overtime.
- Merchandising: Manage merchandise pricing, display, and periodic sales to clear older inventory.
- Supply Coordination: Centralize supply orders for all campuses and ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Inventory Management: Receive, track, and maintain inventory records for two campus stores; conduct annual physical inventory.
- Event Support: Collaborate with Campus Store Associates to sell spirit wear and other merchandise at events, including sporting events and Open Houses.
- Organization: Maintain organized storage and supply rooms.
- Printing Duties: Ensure printing supplies are stocked and assist with general printing tasks.
- Mail Handling: Prepare outgoing mail/packages and sort incoming mail for delivery across campus (DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Online Store Management: Help maintain and fulfill orders for the school’s online store.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Retail and customer service experience required; point-of-sale knowledge preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop).
- Education: High school diploma required; related experience is a plus.
- Work Style: Must work independently and demonstrate flexibility.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move throughout the day, including walking, bending, and stretching, to perform tasks and assist customers.
- Must be able to lift and carry boxes and merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent reaching, stooping, and kneeling to access and organize inventory or supplies.
- Ability to work in a retail environment with a moderate noise level and occasional interruptions.
- May occasionally need to climb ladders or step stools to retrieve or stock items.
- Requires visual acuity for reading product labels, computer screens, and cash registers.
