Job Title: Pricing Analyst
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Basic Function:
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating supplier proposals, market trends, and cost structures to support pricing decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with suppliers, and the ability to provide insights that drive competitive pricing strategies. The analyst will also support pricing audits, reporting, and access control management related to pricing data.
Qualifications:
• Education & Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, OR
o Master’s degree, OR
o 4 years of related experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Minimum Skills & Abilities:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a diverse team.
• Experience in negotiation is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level).
• Strong background in data analytics.
• Marine or Department of Defense (DoD) industry experience preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with suppliers to analyze their operations and determine pricing factors.
• Evaluate cost components, including material, labor, overhead, and profit margins in supplier proposals.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of pricing trends, supplier cost structures, and industry benchmarks.
• Develop pricing measurement tools to track market trends and cost fluctuations.
• Analyze historical sales data, industry pricing standards, and competitor pricing to provide insights.
• Prepare detailed pricing reports and proposal analysis to support supplier awards and contract decisions.
