Machining Expert Wanted
Bollinger Shipyards is seeking an experienced Outside Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our machining department, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining complex mechanical systems.
In this role, you will work closely with our engineers and craftsmen to ensure that all installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install various machinery and equipment.
- Install ship machinery such as propelling machinery and auxiliary motors using blueprints and hand tools.
- Lay out passage holes on bulkheads, decks, and other surfaces for connections.
- Perform necessary machine work, including dismantling, repairing, and reassembling of light and heavy machinery.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of marine experience within a similar position.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
